Slowing Down Adds to Your Gravity
Most of the founders I work with built everything by pushing. More calls, more hours, more pressure than anyone else would dare put on them. It worked, so pushing became the answer to every problem.
Then a season comes when pushing stops paying off. The harder they push, the further the result seems to drift.
I told a client recently something I keep coming back to. She felt like she was holding the rope by herself, all the time, waiting for someone to help. I said, “Stability finds you, because you are the gravity that brings it in.”
Slowing down is adding to your gravity.
In practice it is small. When you feel the push rising, stop and ask yourself one question: What would truly help me in this moment?
Sometimes the answer is a walk. Sometimes it is the direct ask you have been putting off.
Your calendar can stay exactly as full as it is. Start with one pause a day, right before the meeting you would normally rush into.
Where in your week are you pushing hardest right now?
